On March 16, 2020, the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch Court Support Services Division postponed in-person groups indefinitely as we all take precautions to curtail the spread of COVID-19 virus.
In order to meet the needs of separating and divorcing parents, Yardley Associates, LLP received an amended contract from the State of Connecticut Judicial Branch Court Support Services Division to offer ONLINE PEP classes.
At Yardley Associates, LLP, we understand the numerous challenges that parents face during family restructuring. By offering the Parent Education Program, we strive to provide a service that delivers relevant information about helping children through family change, while minimizing any additional stress on parents. Our hope is that our classes and website resources offer a broad range of practical information for parents on their chosen path forward.
We are both graduate level social workers with over 50 years of combined experience working closely with children and their families in a variety of settings, including local community services, school systems, residential/group home facilities, child/adolescent inpatient mental health services, and outpatient counseling. Having personally facilitated the Parent Education Program together for over twenty-five years, we provide exceptional educational services using a dynamic, multimedia approach.
Our curriculum is continually evolving to include current information and up-to-date, evidence-based research in the field. Most importantly, our curriculum is vastly enriched by the many experiences and stories shared by parents in our classes over the last twenty-five years.
Participants are encouraged to use Yardley Associates, LLP as a resource whenever needed. Parents can call with questions, inquire about clarifications, and/or request information about referral services. Parents are also welcome to attend (at no charge) another class cycle at any time for a “refresher.”
Working for so many years in the Greater Hartford area, we are aware of a strong network of resources.
We offer contact information for numerous supportive services, including counseling and Alternative Dispute Resolution services, as well as internet links to online resources.
